Health Care Associate, Chicago, Minneapolis, Washington DC · Leading Health Care Firm

This health care practice seeks an Associate with 2-4 years of experience to work on sophisticated transactional and regulatory health care matters. The position is based in Chicago, Minneapolis, or Washington, DC, offering opportunities to work across offices and teams on complex client engagements.

The work:

• Advise on federal and state health care regulations, including HIPAA, state privacy laws, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, Medicare/Medicaid, and provider licensure requirements
• Draft and negotiate health care contracts, including provider and vendor agreements with health care facilities and business associate agreements
• Conduct legal research and analysis on complex health care regulatory issues
• Manage multiple projects and matters while meeting tight deadlines

What they're looking for:

• 2-4 years of experience, with law firm background preferred
• Strong grounding in health care transactional and regulatory matters
• Familiarity with HIPAA, state privacy laws, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, Medicare/Medicaid regulations, and provider licensure
• Admission to Illinois, Minnesota, or Washington, DC bar (or eligible to waive in)
• JD from accredited law school with strong credentials
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Interest in business development and client presentations
