General Commercial Consultant, Brisbane · Leading Global Firm

This is a six-month fixed-term position with a leading global firm's flexible staffing platform, based in Brisbane. You'll provide general commercial legal services to a major mining sector organization, with a focus on procurement matters.

The work:

• Advise on commercial contracts and procurement arrangements
• Provide risk management counsel on commercial issues
• Work across multiple internal business units
• Manage external-facing legal matters
• Support senior leadership on commercial strategy

What they're looking for:

• 6+ years of experience as a practicing lawyer
• Strong background in general commercial law and procurement
• Proven ability to operate at senior levels within organizations
• Excellent commercial awareness and risk management judgment
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving capability
• Australian legal qualification and right to work
• Ability to work independently in a hybrid arrangement
