This Vault Top 10 firm's San Francisco office is building out its Band 1-ranked Global Fintech and Payment Systems practice and seeks a junior to midlevel associate. The work involves advising fintech and payment companies on product development, negotiating commercial agreements, and navigating financial services licensing and regulatory compliance. The practice handles both transactional work and enforcement-related matters.

The work:

• Advise fintech and payment clients on product development and regulatory positioning
• Negotiate commercial agreements in payment and fintech transactions
• Guide clients through financial services licensing and regulatory frameworks
• Advise on consumer finance regulations, NMLS compliance, and payment standards
• Support regulatory enforcement matters

What they're looking for:

• 3 to 6 years of law firm experience
• Financial services, fintech, or banking law background
• Knowledge of NMLS, consumer finance, payments, or consumer protection regulation
• Strong analytical, research, and writing skills

Compensation ranges from $260,000 to $390,000 based on experience.
