Financial Services Associate, Washington DC · AmLaw Top 30 Firm

AmLaw top-30 firm seeks a 3-6 year associate for its financial services practice in Washington, DC. You'll counsel on consumer and small business finance products, payments, alternative lending models, and deposits under federal and state law.

The work:

• Advise on regulatory requirements for payments, credit products, lending arrangements, and deposit services
• Work with clients on earned wage access, merchant cash advances, factoring, and similar models
• Research and apply applicable federal and state financial services regulations
• Contribute to client matters spanning multiple products and services
• Develop technical expertise in financial services regulatory structures

What they're looking for:

• 3-6 years advising on financial services, banking, payments, or related regulatory matters
• Knowledge of federal consumer finance laws and applicable state regulations
• Strong writing and communication skills
• Capability to manage substantial portions of client projects independently
• Collaborative approach to problem-solving
• Outstanding credentials; bar admission or eligibility required
