A leading energy transactional firm seeks a mid-level associate for its Houston office. You'll work on sophisticated energy transactions with substantial partner and client contact, managing discrete deal components across upstream and midstream sectors.

The work:

• Representing clients in upstream and midstream energy transactions
• Drafting and negotiating commercial agreements for gathering, processing, transportation, storage, and fractionation
• Handling acquisition and divestiture transactions
• Structuring joint ventures and development agreements
• Managing financing arrangements and project finance matters
• Managing discrete deal components independently with partner oversight
• Coordinating across deal teams on complex transactions

What they're looking for:

• 4-6 years in energy transactions with emphasis on upstream and/or midstream matters
• Strong drafting experience and demonstrated ability to independently manage deal components
• Background in acquisition and divestiture, joint ventures, development agreements, or project financing
• Commitment to teamwork and professional development
• Track record managing multiple workstreams in complex energy deals
