Energy Regulatory Associate, Richmond, VA · Leading Energy & Infrastructure Law Firm
A leading national law firm specializing in energy and infrastructure regulation seeks an associate for its Richmond office to work on energy compliance matters.
The work:
- Provide guidance on federal and state regulatory requirements in the energy sector
- Manage FERC filings, applications, and regulatory proceedings
- Contribute to energy project financing and infrastructure transaction matters
- Monitor regulatory trends and assess their impact on client operations
- Prepare regulatory submissions and client correspondence
What they're looking for:
- Two to three years of legal practice (background in regulatory or energy law preferred)
- Proficiency in written and oral legal communication
- Genuine interest in the energy market and regulatory landscape
- Virginia bar certification required within one year of employment
- Ability to work both independently and with senior attorneys on client assignments
Compensation: $235,000–$310,000 annually, plus market-competitive benefits.
