A leading national law firm specializing in energy and infrastructure regulation seeks an associate for its Richmond office to work on energy compliance matters.

The work:

  • Provide guidance on federal and state regulatory requirements in the energy sector
  • Manage FERC filings, applications, and regulatory proceedings
  • Contribute to energy project financing and infrastructure transaction matters
  • Monitor regulatory trends and assess their impact on client operations
  • Prepare regulatory submissions and client correspondence

What they're looking for:

  • Two to three years of legal practice (background in regulatory or energy law preferred)
  • Proficiency in written and oral legal communication
  • Genuine interest in the energy market and regulatory landscape
  • Virginia bar certification required within one year of employment
  • Ability to work both independently and with senior attorneys on client assignments

Compensation: $235,000–$310,000 annually, plus market-competitive benefits.
