A nationally prominent litigation practice focuses on energy companies navigating regulatory systems. The team handles the full spectrum of energy law disputes and proceedings: regulatory advocacy, federal and state litigation, investigation defense, and strategic counsel on policy matters.
The work:
- Litigation on behalf of utilities, independent generators, renewable companies, and trade groups
- Regulatory proceedings and advocacy before state and federal agencies
- Complex document discovery, witness preparation, and deposition work
- Brief and pleading drafting, trial preparation, and oral argument
- Expert-witness coordination and case strategy development
- Client counseling on regulatory trends and litigation risk
What they're looking for:
- 3–6 years of active litigation or regulatory practice
- Strong legal writing and oral advocacy
- Proven ability to manage document discovery and depositions
- Organized approach to case management and client communication
- High academic credentials
- Genuine commitment to pro bono work
- California Bar membership required
- Ability to maintain focus in high-volume, time-sensitive matters
Compensation: $260,000–$390,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
