Energy Associate, Houston · Vault Top 10 Firm

Vault Top 10 firm is hiring a mid-level associate to join its Energy practice. You'll work on substantive transactional matters for clients across the energy sector, handling mergers, acquisitions, project development, and project finance. This is hands-on work on complex, multi-jurisdictional energy transactions.

The work:

• Structure and execute M&A transactions in upstream and midstream oil and gas
• Develop and finance energy projects, including power and data center infrastructure
• Negotiate and draft project contracts, development agreements, and related transaction documents
• Work on tax-efficient finance structures for energy investments
• Handle real estate components of project development

What they're looking for:

• 2-4 years of transactional experience in energy law or project finance
• Strong academic credentials
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams on complex deals
• Preferred background in upstream/midstream M&A, power/data center projects, or tax equity transactions
• Motivated to develop deep energy sector expertise
