A firm dedicated to venture and emerging-growth companies is hiring a mid-level associate in Ann Arbor. The seat is emerging companies and venture capital: representing startups from formation through their financing rounds, and the funds that invest in them. Ann Arbor's university and research base feeds a steady pipeline of early-stage companies.

The work:

• Represent founders and companies at incorporation and through their seed and Series financings
• Handle equity structures, option plans, and the documents that govern early ownership
• Advise on venture financings from both the company and investor sides
• Guide portfolio companies on governance and day-to-day corporate questions
• Support later-stage rounds and eventual exits

What they're looking for:

• About three to five years in emerging companies or venture capital work
• Ability to manage founder relationships directly
• Interest in early-stage technology and the venture market
