Emerging Companies Associate, San Francisco · Leading Venture and Technology Firm

Leading venture and technology firm seeking a junior to mid-level associate to join its Emerging Companies & Venture Capital practice in San Francisco. You'll work with founders, portfolio companies, and venture investors across all stages of growth, handling equity financings, governance matters, and strategic transactions.

The work:

• Support venture financings including seed, Series A, and later-stage equity rounds
• Advise emerging companies on corporate governance, entity formation, and day-to-day legal matters
• Represent venture capital funds and investors in fund formation and venture investments
• Draft and negotiate financing documents, governance materials, and investor rights agreements
• Assist with M&A and secondary transactions involving emerging companies
• Collaborate with specialists in privacy, security, and technology transactions

What they're looking for:

• 2 to 4 years of experience in emerging companies, venture capital, or corporate transactional work
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
• Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment
• Interest in the technology startup ecosystem
• California bar admission and J.D. from accredited law school
• Compensation: $215,000 to $290,000
