A leading law firm seeks an associate for its Emerging Business and Venture Capital practice, with openings across six U.S. offices. The ideal candidate has 2-5 years advising early-stage and growth companies. Salary range $225k–$285k.

The work:

• Advise emerging companies and venture-backed startups on business formation and structuring
• Handle financings including equity rounds and alternative funding instruments
• Manage securities compliance and blue sky registration
• Support venture capital and private equity investments
• Handle corporate M&A and divestitures for growth-stage companies
• Advise on employment arrangements, equity compensation, and general corporate matters

What they're looking for:

• 2-5 years advising emerging companies, startups, or growth-stage firms
• Venture capital fund experience or tech startup in-house counsel background preferred
• Knowledge of startup financings, equity compensation, and related corporate matters
• Experience at a top-tier firm with a dedicated emerging business or venture practice highly valued
