An expanding capital markets practice at a national law firm is seeking an associate for its Seattle or Portland office. The firm emphasizes mentoring and professional development in a collaborative environment.

The work:

• Support public company compliance and SEC reporting requirements
• Advise on capital markets transactions and securities offerings
• Counsel on public company mergers and acquisitions
• Handle corporate governance matters for publicly traded companies
• Research and advise on Securities Act, Exchange Act, and stock exchange regulations

What they're looking for:

• 4-6 years of experience in capital markets, securities compliance, M&A, or corporate governance
• Exceptional academic credentials
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Deep knowledge of federal securities regulations
• Ability to work on deal teams across multiple practice areas
• Active bar license in Oregon or Washington

Compensation ranges from $230,000 to $305,000, with bonuses, comprehensive benefits, and paid time off.
