Corporate M&A Associate, New York · AmLaw 50 Firm

A top 50 U.S. law firm's New York office is seeking a mid-to-senior-level associate (3-6 years) with substantial M&A experience to strengthen its corporate transactions practice, with an emphasis on private equity-led deals.

The work:

• Mergers and acquisitions for strategic buyers and PE sponsors
• Special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) transactions
• Cross-border and domestic acquisitions
• Growth equity investments and venture capital transactions
• Distressed acquisitions and bankruptcy-related deals
• Document preparation, due diligence coordination, and transaction execution
• Engagement with clients throughout the deal lifecycle

What they're looking for:

• 3-6 years of proven experience in M&A or complex corporate transactions
• Background with private equity sponsors, strategic buyers, or emerging growth companies
• Strong drafting and analytical capabilities
• Project management skills to handle multiple concurrent workstreams
• Demonstrated client contact experience
• Ability to coordinate with specialists in tax, benefits, IP, and employment
