Corporate Governance Associate, Washington D.C. · Vault Top 10 Firm

A top-10 law firm seeks an associate for its corporate governance and securities regulation practice. You'll counsel public companies on governance matters and assist with securities compliance issues, with particular focus on initial public offerings and Exchange Act compliance.

The work:

• Advise public companies on governance standards, board structure, and compliance best practices
• Counsel on governance considerations in initial public offerings and other capital markets transactions
• Guide clients through Exchange Act disclosure requirements and other securities regulations
• Support in drafting governance-related documents and advising on shareholder matters

What they're looking for:

• Law school class of 2020-2024 (ranging from 2 to 6 years of experience)
• Strong writing and research skills, with ability to manage client relationships
• Background in or interest in corporate governance or securities regulation
• Strong academic track record
