Corporate Associate, San Diego and San Francisco · Am Law 100 Firm

This position is for a mid-level corporate associate at an Am Law 100 firm with a strong national M&A and private equity practice. The firm advises sponsors, funds, and investors on acquisitions, growth capital deployments, portfolio company management, and exits.

The work:

• Sponsor-side acquisitions and add-on investments
• Portfolio company governance and strategic matters
• Divestitures and exit planning
• Deal documentation and closing logistics
• Fund formation and structure analysis
• Client counseling on deal economics and terms

What they're looking for:

• 3+ years of M&A or private equity transaction experience at a leading law firm
• JD or LLM from an ABA-accredited law school
• California bar admission or eligibility
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work both independently and collaboratively

This role is designed for someone ready to take on increasingly senior client responsibility in a partner-led practice.

Compensation: $260,000 to $310,000 plus performance bonus.
