Corporate Associate, Portland; Seattle · Leading Corporate Firm

A major law firm's corporate practice seeks a mid-level associate for its M&A and securities team, working with public and private companies, investors, private equity funds, venture capital funds, founders, and emerging growth companies on corporate transactions and governance matters.

The work:

• Advise on mergers and acquisitions, venture capital financings, and strategic transactions
• Draft and negotiate acquisition agreements and related transaction documentation
• Handle corporate governance and securities matters
• Work with public and private companies, emerging growth companies, and investment funds
• Manage client relationships and internal matters

What they're looking for:

• 2-5 years of experience in corporate law or M&A
• Strong knowledge of acquisition agreements and transaction documentation
• Experience representing corporations, investors, and funds
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• High degree of business sense
• Excellent academic credentials
• Willing to work in-office at least 3 days per week

Compensation: $225,000-$315,000 annually, plus bonus and comprehensive benefits.
