Corporate Associate - M&A, Chicago · Am Law 100 Firm

An Am Law 100 firm with global reach handles national and international M&A transactions. The Chicago office seeks an experienced associate to lead transactions across industries including technology, energy, telecommunications, and financial services. You'll take primary responsibility for drafting core transaction documents and managing deal execution from inception through closing.

The work:

• Lead M&A transactions from inception through closing, serving as primary draftsperson for key deal documents
• Manage multiple concurrent transactions
• Work with clients and opposing counsel on complex negotiations
• Collaborate with cross-border and cross-disciplinary teams
• Handle private equity, restructurings, and joint venture structures

What they're looking for:

• 5-7 years of law firm experience focused on M&A and related transactions
• Ability to lead deals and manage transaction documents
• Capacity to handle multiple concurrent deals
• Strong client and opposing counsel communication skills
• Comfort working across geographies and with diverse teams
• 3 days per week in-office commitment
