Consumer Finance Litigation Associate, Multiple US Locations · National Law Firm

Associate with 3 to 5 years of experience in consumer finance litigation. You'll represent financial services companies in state and federal court matters.

The work:

• Defend financial services companies in state and federal court litigation
• Handle mortgage servicer and originator disputes, including foreclosure and title actions
• Draft discovery materials and analyze consumer protection statutes
• Work on matters involving Fair Credit Reporting Act, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, and related state law claims
• Manage case strategies and client communications

What they're looking for:

• 3 to 5 years of litigation experience, ideally in financial services defense
• Knowledge of consumer protection statutes (FCRA, FDCPA, RESPA)
• Experience defending mortgage servicers or originators preferred
• Active bar license (candidates in CA, TX, FL, OH particularly encouraged)
• Strong academic credentials
• Sound judgment and sharp communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously
• Commitment to community engagement
