A leading global law firm seeks an experienced construction and projects lawyer to support its Melbourne practice. The firm regularly advises on major infrastructure and construction mandates, and is looking for someone who can manage complex transactions, lead negotiations, and provide commercial and technical guidance across all phases of delivery.

The work:

• Lead legal work on major infrastructure projects including road, rail, energy, and renewables development
• Advise on contract structure, delivery models, and commercial agreements
• Identify legal and commercial risk throughout project lifecycle
• Support negotiations and contract drafting on complex infrastructure matters
• Counsel government entities on procurement and project delivery
• Manage technical and commercial challenges across multiple stakeholders

What they're looking for:

• 5+ years' experience in construction and projects law with significant front-end work
• Track record advising on major infrastructure transactions
• Strong legal drafting, negotiation, and commercial judgment
• Experience advising government entities preferred
• Ability to manage senior stakeholder relationships and work autonomously
• Current practising certificate and Australian work authorization
