Construction and Infrastructure Transactions Associate, Multiple US Locations · AmLaw 100 Firm
Mid-level associate role in a nationally recognized firm's construction and infrastructure transactions practice. This position focuses on transactional work in complex infrastructure development, specializing in energy, transportation, and industrial projects. You'll handle sophisticated contracts including engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) agreements, design-build structures, alternative delivery contracts, and commercial service arrangements. The work requires hands-on skill in contract drafting and negotiation, with particular focus on risk allocation, indemnification, insurance requirements, and bonding structures. You'll support institutional clients on matters of national scope and work closely with engineers and project teams. The firm emphasizes direct partner mentorship, early client relationships, and sustained professional development. Work arrangement: three days per week in office, with flexibility to work remotely.
The work:
- Draft and negotiate complex infrastructure contracts for energy, transportation, and industrial projects
- Handle risk allocation, indemnification, insurance, and bonding provisions in major agreements
- Work independently on deal documentation including EPC and design-build contracts
- Advise on commercial terms and deal structure
- Collaborate with clients, engineers, and project teams
