A commercial litigation firm in Tampa, Florida seeks an associate to join its practice. The team handles complex commercial disputes centered on real estate, consumer finance, and construction matters, from fact investigation through trial.

The work:

• Manage all phases of commercial litigation from investigation to resolution
• Handle real estate, consumer finance, and construction disputes
• Conduct fact investigation and legal research
• Draft pleadings and discovery documents
• Defend and take depositions
• Participate in mediations and settlement negotiations
• Prepare and argue motions; attend hearings
• Prepare cases for trial

What they're looking for:

• 3 to 5 years of commercial litigation experience in state and federal courts
• Background in real estate, consumer finance, or construction litigation preferred
• Florida bar admission (required)
• Strong written and oral communication
• Ability to manage cases independently and meet deadlines
• Solid judgment and problem-solving capability
• Experience with commercial litigation case management
• Capacity to interface directly with attorneys and clients
