Civil Litigation Associate

Regional litigation firm seeks civil litigation associate for its St. Louis market. Candidate should have one or more years of civil litigation experience, particularly in defense work, and interest in developing trial skills and business development capabilities.

The work:

• Handle civil litigation defense matters across case lifecycle
• Conduct client interviews and case analysis
• Take and defend depositions
• Make court appearances and appear at trials
• Prepare discovery and pre-trial filings
• Develop and service client relationships

What they're looking for:

• Current Missouri bar license
• Kansas bar license preferred
• One or more years of civil litigation or defense experience
• Strong case management and communication skills
• Written and oral advocacy skills
• Trial experience preferred
• Interest in client development and business development
