Career Associate, Boston · Vault Top 20 Firm

A leading global law firm seeks an experienced associate to support its alternative asset opportunities practice. You'll provide day-to-day legal support for institutional investor clients navigating fund investments, co-investments, and secondary transactions across multiple asset classes and geographies.

The work:

• Draft, review, and negotiate transfer agreements, subscription agreements, and investment documentation
• Manage KYC/AML processes and investment structuring matters
• Coordinate with corporate, tax, and regulatory colleagues to implement transactions and maintain records
• Build and maintain templates, playbooks, and precedent libraries to streamline workflows
• Support a high-volume recurring matter pipeline with strong organizational systems

What they're looking for:

• Minimum 5 years of relevant transaction experience at a law firm or asset management legal department
• Strong drafting, legal analysis, and project management skills
• Deep knowledge of fund investment, co-investment, and secondary transaction documentation
• Ability to manage multiple matters independently while building client relationships
• Experience developing document management systems or knowledge resources
• Responsible use of AI tools in legal practice, including identifying appropriate use cases and verifying outputs

Compensation: $265,000 to $350,000 plus discretionary year-end bonus. Hybrid arrangement with periodic in-office presence.
