Capital Markets Associate, Toronto · Leading Practice Firm
An international law firm with a strong Canadian presence seeks a mid-level capital markets attorney for its Toronto office.
The work:
- Drafting prospectuses, information circulars, and underwriting agreements for capital markets transactions
- Preparing and reviewing securities filings and related documentation under tight timelines
- Advising clients on securities law compliance and regulatory requirements
- Handling M&A-related agreements including share and asset purchases
- Supporting multinational clients on cross-border capital markets matters
What they're looking for:
- 3-7 years of corporate finance and securities law experience
- Ontario Bar membership required; additional Canadian and U.S. bar admissions valued
- Demonstrated drafting and technical skills with ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Background in private M&A, particularly share and asset purchase agreements
- Self-directed approach with ability to handle client requests independently
- Strong grasp of securities regulations and exchange rules as applied to practical matters
Compensation is in the $180,000-$280,000 CAD range. Candidates should provide a recent deal sheet with their resume.
