Bankruptcy Associate, New York · Leading Restructuring Firm

Leading restructuring firm with globally recognized expertise in complex bankruptcy and insolvency work. This position involves representing creditors, investors, and distressed companies in Chapter 11 filings, Chapter 15 proceedings, and cross-border insolvencies. The firm maintains particular depth in Latin American and Eastern European restructurings and has advised first and second lien lenders, bondholders, and hedge funds through challenging proceedings.

The work:

• Represent creditors, investors, and other stakeholders in large-scale bankruptcy and insolvency proceedings
• Work on contested U.S. and multinational cross-border restructurings
• Manage Chapter 11 and Chapter 15 matters through trial and appellate phases
• Handle out-of-court restructurings alongside traditional bankruptcy work
• Collaborate on complex multidisciplinary transactions

What they're looking for:

• 3+ years of substantive bankruptcy and restructuring experience
• Track record representing creditors, investors, or distressed companies
• JD from a top 20 law school
• Prior experience at an AmLaw top 30 firm
• Excellent academic credentials
• Strong litigation and analytical capabilities
