Bankruptcy and Restructuring Associate, New York; Atlanta; Wilmington · AmLaw 200 Firm

AmLaw 200 firm with a national restructuring and bankruptcy practice seeks a mid-level associate with 3–5 years of experience. The New York office is preferred but Atlanta and Wilmington placements are available.

The work:

• Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings and restructurings
• Out-of-court restructurings and special situations
• Distressed M&A transactions
• Creditor and stakeholder negotiations
• Distressed asset sales and acquisitions
• Representation of debtors, creditors, lenders, and investors across industries
• Complex capital solutions and restructuring matters

What they're looking for:

• 3–5 years of bankruptcy or restructuring experience
• Experience representing diverse stakeholders in complex matters
• Exposure to distressed investing and private credit preferred
• Excellent academic credentials
• Superior writing, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Active bar admission in intended practice jurisdiction
• Ambition and team orientation to grow the national practice
