This national law firm's litigation practice handles aviation and aerospace matters, combining dispute resolution with transactional and regulatory work in a specialized practice area. The role serves clients in commercial disputes, regulatory enforcement, and industry-specific transactions.
The work:
- Represent aviation and aerospace clients in litigation matters and disputes
- Handle regulatory, administrative, and enforcement proceedings
- Advise on aviation-related transactions and commercial agreements
- Manage investigations and security-related matters
- Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery materials
- Take and defend depositions
- Conduct legal research and provide written analysis
- Support clients on employment issues within aviation
What they're looking for:
- 6-10 years of general litigation experience
- Strong interest in or background in aviation, transportation, or government contracts
- JD required; District of Columbia bar license required
- Pilot experience or aviation industry background a plus
- Experience with pleadings, discovery, motions, and depositions
- Excellent research and writing skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a litigation team
- Law firm experience preferred
