Associate, Technology Transactions, Silicon Valley and New York · Vault Top 10 Firm

A mid-level associate role in technology transactions at a Vault Top 10 global law firm. You'll handle complex IP and technology deals for multinational corporations and startups, working on structuring, negotiation, and implementation of IP-driven agreements and strategic alliances while managing deal teams across multiple jurisdictions.

The work:

• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating IP licensing agreements, SaaS contracts, and other technology documents
• Conducting IP and technology due diligence on mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures
• Managing deal teams and processes across geographic locations
• Advising clients on IP strategy and emerging technology issues including AI and machine learning
• Supporting senior lawyers on high-stakes transactions and serving as point of contact for clients and deal teams
• Mentoring junior team members

What they're looking for:

• 4-7 years of law firm or in-house experience in IP, technology, or corporate law
• Background in IP licensing and technology transactions as well as general corporate deals like M&A and JVs
• Strong legal writing and drafting skills with experience managing complex, multi-jurisdictional deals
• Bar admission in New York or California
• Commercial awareness and judgment
• Strong academic credentials
