A leading venture capital and emerging companies firm seeks experienced associates for its national private companies practice, focusing on life sciences. This role offers both substantial client work and opportunities to develop your own platform within the firm.

The work:

• General corporate counseling for venture-backed life sciences companies from seed through growth stages
• Structuring and negotiating venture capital financings, including Series A through later rounds
• Advising clients on liquidity events, mergers, acquisitions, and other exits
• Counseling on corporate governance, equity incentive plans, and employment matters as companies scale
• Building relationships with founders, investors, and ecosystem participants

What they're looking for:

• Three to six years of corporate law experience in a national or international law firm
• Substantial background working with venture-backed companies, particularly in life sciences
• Strong academic credentials from a recognized law school
• Demonstrated ability to attract and develop business
• Interest in speaking engagements and thought leadership

Compensation: $260,000–$390,000, based on experience and geographic location.
