Associate, Phoenix · Mid-Market Law Firm

A regional Phoenix law firm with a growing civil litigation practice is seeking a 1-3 year associate to develop expertise in complex litigation and trial work. You'll work alongside partners and senior associates on a diverse client portfolio, building practical skills in research, drafting, discovery, and courtroom support.

The work:

• Civil litigation discovery, depositions, and document review
• Drafting pleadings, motions, memoranda, and legal opinions
• Legal research and analysis on complex matters
• Trial preparation, witness preparation, and courtroom support
• Client counseling and strategy development
• Building litigation skills through hands-on client matters

What they're looking for:

• 1-3 years of civil litigation experience post-bar
• Excellent legal research and writing skills
• Meticulous organizational abilities and attention to detail
• Substantive background in civil litigation
• Judicial clerkship experience (preferred but not required)
• Strong academic credentials
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently
• Team-oriented mindset and sound professional judgment
