Associate position at a major global law firm in New York, joining a dedicated venture capital and emerging companies practice. This group serves as primary legal advisor to venture capital investors and early-stage and growth-stage technology companies, from formation through exit.

The work:

• Counsel venture capital investors and technology companies on day-to-day corporate and operational matters
• Structure and close venture capital financings and related transactions
• Represent capital providers in deal negotiations
• Support client relationship development within the venture ecosystem
• Handle working capital arrangements and exit transactions

What they're looking for:

• Three to five years of legal experience, ideally at competitive tech-focused practices
• Entrepreneurial mindset with genuine interest in innovation
• Strong judgment combining business and legal acumen
• Ability to work effectively under pressure with strong analytical skills
• Leadership capability and collaborative approach
• West Coast deal experience valued but not required
