An AmLaw 100 firm's general litigation group in New York seeks a 4th or 5th year associate for commercial litigation. This role offers active client involvement and courtroom work in a fast-paced practice.

The work:

• Handle commercial matters in New York State and federal courts
• Manage discovery, prepare motions and pleadings, make court appearances
• Build working knowledge of New York Civil Practice Law and Rules (CPLR)
• Balance multiple cases under deadline pressure with senior guidance
• Contribute to case planning and matter strategy

What they're looking for:

• 4 to 5 years of commercial litigation experience
• New York State bar membership (required)
• Hands-on experience litigating matters in New York courts
• Strong legal writing, research, and courtroom advocacy skills
• Judgment and composure under pressure
• Organized case and client management approach
• Interest in building a client base and developing a litigation practice

Compensation: $310,000 to $365,000 depending on experience and qualifications
