Litigation associate role at an Am Law 100 firm defending condominium and cooperative boards in New York. You'll represent condo and coop boards in disputes related to inter-building property damage and allegations of governance and fiduciary duty breaches.
The work:
- Draft and review pleadings, motions, and legal briefs in property damage and governance disputes
- Conduct legal research and analysis on condo/coop board liability issues
- Manage all phases of litigation from pleading through trial
- Engage in motion practice and oral advocacy before courts
- Defend boards against claims of breach of fiduciary duty and improper governance
What they're looking for:
- 1-7 years of litigation experience, preferably defending condo/coop boards
- Excellent writing skills and strong analytical and research abilities
- Superior communication and advocacy skills
- Admission to the New York Bar
- Compensation range: $135,000–$175,000 annually
