Associate, Multiple US Locations · Vault Top 30 Firm

Mid-level associate in environmental law and permitting at a Vault top 30 firm. The practice advises clients across the energy and project finance spectrum on environmental compliance, land development, and transaction support. You'll work with a diverse client base including developers, financial institutions, private equity, and Fortune 500 companies.

The work:

• Counsel clients on environmental regulations including CERCLA, Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act, RCRA, ESA, and NHPA
• Support M&A and project finance transactions through environmental due diligence and permitting
• Prepare environmental compliance documentation and regulatory filings
• Manage relationships with environmental consultants and government agencies
• Contribute to a collegial team environment across multiple jurisdictions

What they're looking for:

• 3–5 years of environmental law experience at a top firm or government agency
• Demonstrated background in transaction support or regulatory permitting
• Strong research, writing, and communication abilities
• Bar admission and commitment to client service and collaboration

Compensation range: $260,000–$365,000. The firm invests in mentoring, training programs, and associate development.
