This leading UK law firm's Projects, Development and Construction team handles a broad spectrum of construction and project finance work across diverse sectors. The practice includes negotiating and drafting construction contracts, advising on procurement strategies, and managing legal risks throughout project lifecycles. The team works with various standard contract forms (JCT, NEC, EPC) as well as bespoke arrangements tailored to specific project needs. Clients range from developers and contractors to funders, public institutions, and property investors. The work often involves preventive advice on live projects—analyzing payment obligations, addressing delay claims, and resolving contractual issues to keep projects moving rather than escalating to formal disputes.

The work:

• Negotiate and draft construction contracts, development agreements, and related documentation
• Advise on procurement strategies and risk allocation across projects
• Analyze contracts to address payment, timing, and performance issues
• Support commercial problem-solving and dispute avoidance on active projects
• Work across sectors: real estate, housing, renewables, healthcare, and infrastructure

What they're looking for:

• NQ to 2 years post-qualification with construction law experience
• Knowledge of standard form contracts (JCT, NEC, EPC) and market conventions
• Background in non-contentious construction or housing development
• Ability to handle complex agreements and large-scale due diligence
