Simmons & Simmons appointed Peter Dylewski as a partner based in its KSA office, strengthening its Middle East tax offering. He joins from a Big Four firm and has more than 20 years' experience, focused on financial services and energy. The firm recruited Hannah Shipley earlier this year in Dubai as Head of its Middle East Tax team.

Dechert LLP announced Adnan Bekdur has joined as a partner in its corporate and securities practice, establishing a dedicated corporate presence in Dubai. He advises funds, corporates and alternative capital managers, and sovereign wealth funds. Dechert says he is the latest of more than 50 lateral partners welcomed this year.
Mayer Brown advised Charterhouse Capital Partners on tax and structuring aspects of the agreement to sell its stake in Vermeg to Advent. A wholly owned Abu Dhabi Investment Authority subsidiary co-invests as a minority investor. Closing is expected in Q1 2027, subject to customary conditions including regulatory approvals.
